His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, today received a cable of congratulations from Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the BDF.

Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed highlighted the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, as well as the directives of His Royal Highness, in advancing the development of the BDF.

Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed concluded by wishing Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.

In response, His Royal Highness sent a cable of thanks to Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed, in which His Royal Highness congratulated His Excellency and all members of the BDF on this national occasion.

HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister commended the BDF for their various achievements and for the efficiency and expertise they have gained through rigorous training and modernisation, affirming their readiness to defend the Kingdom and safeguard its resources.
