HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister meets with the Commander of the US Central Command
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, today met with Admiral Charles Bradford Cooper II, the Commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), and an accompanying delegation, during his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
His Royal Highness highlighted the longstanding Bahrain–US relationship, underpinned by a strategic partnership spanning a number of important sectors, which played a vital role in combating the hostile Iranian aggression.
HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, emphasised the mutual commitment to advancing multisectoral collaboration, particularly within the military and defence sectors, as well as building on existing cooperation and agreements, including the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (CSIPA).
As part of the visit, the latest regional and international developments, and issues of mutual interest, were also discussed.
His Royal Highness also noted the United States’ role, alongside allied countries, in safeguarding regional and global security and stability.
Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court; His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy; along with several senior officials, also attended the meeting.
