HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister receives a telephone call from the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received a telephone call from the Rt Hon Andy Burnham MP, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

During the call, His Royal Highness congratulated Prime Minister Burnham on his appointment as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the deep-rooted historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, which are founded on cooperation and a shared commitment to strengthening bilateral relations across all sectors in support of common aspirations.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad affirmed the important role of the United Kingdom, alongside allied nations, in strengthening regional and international security and stability.

During the call, the latest regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest were discussed.
