HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with members of Team Bahrain and distinguished guests attending the 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with members of Team Bahrain from across various sectors as well as distinguished guests attending the 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit.

The race marks the 22nd edition of the event and is being hosted by Malaysia with the blessings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.

His Royal Highness affirmed that Bahrain’s achievements in motorsport reflect the capabilities of its highly qualified national workforce, whose competence and resilience have enabled the Kingdom to continue achieving success despite various circumstances and challenges.

His Royal Highness noted that these achievements reflect the determination of the people of Bahrain to achieve further success and contribute to advancing the goals of the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

His Royal Highness commended the commitment and efforts of Team Bahrain members involved in organising the Grand Prix, wishing them continued success.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also expressed his appreciation to Formula 1, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the Bahrain International Circuit, the Petronas Sepang International Circuit, and all participating teams for their efforts towards ensuring the success of this global event.

His Royal Highness also hosted a luncheon in honour of the members of Team Bahrain and the distinguished guests attending the Grand Prix.

For their part, the members of Team Bahrain and the distinguished guests expressed their appreciation for His Royal Highness’ commitment to supporting the national workforce and affirmed their commitment to contributing to the continued progress and prosperity of Bahrain.
