HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets the Prime Minister of Malaysia

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with His Excellency Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

The meeting is part of His Royal Highness’ attendance at the 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, in Malaysia, marking the 22nd edition of the event.

The event is being hosted by Malaysia with the blessings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister conveyed the greetings of HM the King to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, along with His Majesty’s wishes for Malaysia and its people to achieve further progress and prosperity.

His Excellency the Prime Minister of Malaysia also conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, to HM the King, along with His Majesty’s wishes for the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people to achieve further growth and development.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister reiterated that the relationship between Bahrain and Malaysia continues to go from strength to strength, supported by a shared commitment to deepen bilateral ties.

His Royal Highness outlined the importance of enhancing bilateral relations and creating opportunities to meet shared aspirations.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to Malaysia for the arrangements provided, which contributed to hosting the race in Malaysia.

His Royal Highness commended the success of the race’s organisation, highlighting that it is reflective of the strength of the relationship between the two countries.

During the meeting, the latest regional and international developments, as well as several issues of mutual interest, were also discussed.

For his part, the Prime Minister of Malaysia thanked His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his commitment to advancing cooperation, in support of the continued progress and prosperity of both countries and their peoples.
