HRH Prince Salman Meets Lord Mayor of London

Bahrain has succeeded in withstanding global meltdown thanks to its sound policies. “The wise policies and calculated steps have ensured national economic and investment stability”, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Economic Development Board chairman said.

He portrayed Bahrain’s positive economic outlook as he met today Lord Mayor of London Michael Bear as part of his current visit to the UK.He stressed Bahrain’s drive to diversify sources of revenue and empower the trade and economic sectors to be an essential partner in national projects.

“The EDB plays a pivotal role in mapping out development strategies and ensuring their implementation”, He said.He also described the EDB as a crucial catalyst for key economic sectors.He cited particularly the sectors of financial and trade services, manufacturing industries and telecommunications.

Lord Mayor of London Michael Bear welcomed HRH Prince Salman’s visit to the UK, lauding his crucial role in adopting new economic management concepts.He hailed Bahrain’s strides describing it as a safe destination for foreign capitals.

“The 2030 Economic Vision ensured Bahrain credibility and good reputation among countries in the world”, he said, pointing out the vital role of the EDB in promoting Bahrain’s economy, looking forward to setting up joint ventures and profiting from Bahrain’s business-friendly atmosphere.

Foreign Ministry Advisor Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, EDB Chief Executive Officer Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Crown Prince’s Court Chief Shaikh Khalifa bin Daij Al Khalifa and Bahrain Ambassador to the UK Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa attended.
