HRH Crown Prince meets former UK Prime Minister
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, this evening met David Cameron, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, at Riffa Palace.
At the start of the meeting, His Royal Highness welcomed Cameron to the Kingdom and highlighted his prominent role in advancing Bahrain-UK ties during his tenure.
The Crown Prince welcomed the longstanding ties between Bahrain and the UK, stressing the importance of the wide-ranging cooperation between the two countries. His Royal Highness went on to note the UK’s role in maintaining regional and global security and stability.
The Crown Prince and former British Prime Minister also discussed various regional and international developments, in addition to issues of mutual interest.
For his part, Cameron welcomed the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness, noting the Crown Prince’s commitment to further developing bilateral cooperation between Bahrain and the UK.
Shaikh Khaled bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the meeting.
