Crown Prince visits UK embassy to express condolences on the death of Baroness Thatcher
Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and the First Deputy Prime Minister visited the UK embassy today to express his condolences on the death of former British Prime Minister, Baroness Thatcher.
His Royal Highness remarked that Baroness Thatcher was a leading international figure who contributed to global stability throughout her time as British Prime Minister from 1979 to 1990. His Royal Highness highlighted in particular her efforts to reinforce relations between the United Kingdom and the Arabian Gulf States.
His Royal Highness also noted Baroness Thatcher’s contributions to international development. His Royal Highness was received by Mr. Iain Lindsay, the British Ambassador to Bahrain, who thanked His Royal Highness emphasising the longstanding relations between both Bahrain and the United Kingdom.
